Barnes United Methodist Church

An African American congregation, with a membership that spans all age groups, seeking a part-time associate pastor. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, giving leadership to the confirmation class, provide spiritual guidance to the various church ministries, and teaching a weekly Bible Study Class. There will also be an opportunity to preach and regularly participate in the worship service. Applicant must be self-motivated; have the ability to relate to and work with a diverse group of people, be a team player; have leadership skills and good time management. Some seminary or Christian Education classes preferred and experience in a local church ministry or leadership desirable. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
